WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
When you visit our website, the web hosting server recognizes your navigational information, including non-personally identifiable information (i.e. domain type, browser version, service provider and IP address), but not your name, email address, phone number or other personal details. This information is shared with third party services, such as Google, to allow Armor Art to gather broad information about visitors and their browsing patterns on the Armor Art website. Armor Art also collects information volunteered by visitors. This may include, but is not limited to, name and address, and telephone number, for the purpose of completing a sale to a customer or for participation in the Resin Obsession forum. All eCheck and Paypal payments placed online through our shopping cart system are handled by Paypal on behalf of Resin Obsession. Credit card payments are handled by Shopify, Incorporated. Armor Art at no time is able to view your credit card or banking information when ordering online. Invoices sent to customers for order payment are handled by Ecwid. Credit card information supplied by customers via fax for the purpose of processing an order is held until the order has been received by the customer. This information is then destroyed.
Customers and visitors to the Armor Art website may also submit their information voluntarily to be included on an email and/or physical mailing address list. We do NOT sell or rent our visitor or customer email addresses or make them available to other organizations for marketing purposes.
WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION?
The navigational information we collect tells us about the use of our website by visitors, including the areas of our site that are most visited or the time of a last visit to a page on our website. The navigational information helps us better understand a visitor’s experience and improve upon that experience by recognizing and delivering more of the features, services and products our visitors prefer. The information we collect is also used to acknowledge and deliver items that customers order, to improve the content of our website, to notify visitors who request specific information about updates to our website, and to contact visitors (with permission) for our own marketing purposes. Information is also collected in order to participate in the online forum in order to promote a cordial environment where users need to be personally responsible for the content they choose to share. The information we collect may be disclosed if we are legally required to do so at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our website and applicable laws, or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website.
WHEN DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION?
Information is only collected when a customer makes a purchase from Armor Art, when a user submits their information for inclusion on the Armor Art mailing list or when a user chooses to participate in the Armor Art.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION?
E-mail Communications. Armor Art sends email communications to those interested in learning more about resin crafting and the products we sell. We do NOT send unsolicited commercial email, otherwise known as “spam.” We do NOT send email marketing communications to a visitor provided email address unless the intended recipient specifically opts in to receive such communications from us. We do NOT sell or rent our visitor or customer email addresses or make them available to other organizations for marketing purposes.
Postal mail Communications. Information may be sent through the U.S. postal mail system providing information about new features, announcements, new products, special promotions and discounts. Users and subscribers may opt out of postal mail options by contacting Armor Art. We do NOT sell or rent our visitor or customer postal mail addresses or make them available to other organizations for marketing purposes.
Telephone Communications. Telephone communication is only used in cases where it is needed regarding orders placed. We do not make sales calls to customers. We also do NOT sell or rent our customer phone numbers or make them available to other organizations for marketing purposes.
WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION WITH?
We will not share your personally identifiable information with third parties (aside from entities that perform services for us, such as processing credit card payments or sending email communications) unless you have “opted-in” to such sharing. However, we may disclose information you provide if required to do so by law or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with legal process served on us; (2) protect and defend our rights or property; or (3) act in an emergency to protect someone’s safety. As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets, and, depending upon the transaction, your personally identifiable information may be one of the transferred assets. In the event that we are acquired by another company, your personal information may be part of the assets transferred to the acquiring party. In the event of said transfer, Armor Art will attempt to insure that the privacy of your information is maintained by the acquiring party.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS TO CONTROL THE USE OF YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION?
You can help us maintain the accuracy of your profile by notifying us when you change your address, phone number or e-mail address. If at any time you wish to update your information or stop receiving communication from us, you may send an email to email@example.com. Email list subscribers can change their subscription preferences at any time by clicking on the appropriate link that is included at the bottom of every email.
WHAT ABOUT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION OF MINORS?
Our site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We assume products purchased through credit card means are purchased by adults or minors supervised by a parent or guardian. We respect the privacy of parents and children and are committed to complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If a parent believes that a child has provided us with his or her personal information, the parent can contact us via e-mail, phone or postal mail as listed below.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD YOU KNOW ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY?
In no event shall Armor Art, its affiliated companies, members, officers, employees, vendors, or agents be liable for any damages (whether consequential, direct, incidental, indirect, punitive, special, or otherwise) arising out of, or in any way connected with, a third party’s unauthorized access to your information, regardless of whether such damages are based on contract, strict liability, tort, or other theories of liability, and also regardless of whether Armor Art was given actual or constructive notice that damages were possible, except as provided under applicable laws.
